Camp NaNoWriMo update!

OK, so we’re past the half-way mark on Camp NaNoWriMo, and that means it’s time for a quick update.

My initial goal was to write 30.000 words in the month of April. Yes, that was my big challenge. Hoooowever, life got busy and I wasn’t writing as much as needed to to reach my goal. So I decreased my word-count goal slightly (I chopped off a third of it to be completely honest!) and I’m still behind. How is that even possible?!  Continue reading

Spreading the love among bloggers!

So recently I’ve been thinking about what a lovely little community we have here as book bloggers! Day after day I see people leaving thoughtful, encouraging comments on other bloggers’ posts, collaborating with one another, or just being awesome in general!

And here I was, thinking to myself, why don’t I contribute to the awesomeness that is the book blogging community by reaching out to other bloggers? Continue reading

Just checking in to send you a massive cheer for World Book Day! 

As some of you know I work in a primary school, and dressing up in special occasions comes with the territory…

I chose Matilda because:

  1. I tried to pick a character that the children would recognise.
  2. Matilda loves books!
  3. I already had everything for the costume.
