Cress (The Lunar Chronicles #3)
Genre: Young adult / Fantasy
Page Count: 550 pages
Publication Date: February 2014
Goodreads summary
In this third book in the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, now with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.
Their best hope lies with Cress, a girl imprisoned on a satellite since childhood who’s only ever had her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker. Unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.
When a daring rescue of Cress goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a higher price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing prevent her marriage to Emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only hope the world has.
My thoughts:
Aaahhhhh! No. Words.
I can’t stop fangirling about this series. Each book is better than the last!
I mean, Cress and Thorne? ♥ How sweet are those two? And oh my goodness, Cinder is becoming such a badass cyborg! I love the fact that even though she’s scared of everything that’s going on around her she just keeps going. She’s amazing!
Oh and what about Iko? Aaaahhhhh! (I won’t say anything about that because I don’t want to spoil the story for you).
The only thing I’m not “over the moon” about is the fact that I don’t have the next book in the series yet, Winter. I ordered it FOUR days ago from Book Depository and it still hasn’t been shipped! What am I going to do with my life until the day it arrives?
Guys, if you haven’t read this series you HAVE to stop what you’re doing right now and buy yourself a copy of the first book in the series, Cinder (Amazon link here). You can see my review of the first book here, and the second one here.
Seriously! You should read this! Let’s all fangirl together in the comment section! 😀
(Haha! This is such an “unprofessional” and “uninformative” review. But you know what, sometimes you like something so much that all seriousness just flies out the window, and you start writing from the heart! 😀 )
I’m yet to read the first book of the series—and it sits on my shelf and waits for me to pick it up—but I’ve heard mixed reviews. It’s interesting too that they’re connected, as I only thought they were standalones. Better get my butt in gear.

Maybe I’ll check this out. I started with the first two but I wasn’t very impressed with Scarlet. I’m hoping it gets better. i’m a bit partial to Rapunzel anyway. 😀
