Guys and gals, I’m back from my holiday!
Well, to be honest I came back home about 5 days ago… but with my new job making me 70 times more tired than usual I’ve found it very hard to keep up with the blogosphere. I’m really sorry for being absent this week but I promise things will go back to normal soon 😀
Things have been good. I have survived my first week on the new job ( Yay! ) and of course as soon as I get a “proper” job my agency asks me if I’m available to shoot a commercial next week (and in case you’re not aware, commercials usually pay good money!), so I had to tell them I’m not available on that date. * sniff *
Anyway… Berlin was brilliant! I visited a LOT of beautiful places and had my very first currywurst 😀 Totally recommend it!
I took about a gazillion pictures! Berlin has a whole selection of buildings and settings begging you to take your camera out. So one day, after working our poor feet to the bone (not literally!) we hopped on a bus and went sightseeing from the comfort of a double-decker that kept going round and round the main tourist attractions. That’s when we saw this…
A used-book sale! 😀 I was so excited to see cheap books (I love a good bargain!) that I went back the next day and actually got off the bus to have a browse. But, alas, most books were in German 😦 and I don’t speak (or read) German.
Why, oh why can’t I find that sort of book sale in Northern Ireland?
If you’re ever in the mood for travelling, I would totally recommend Berlin! I spent 4 days in the city and still couldn’t see everything! Everywhere you look there’s a bit of history to be studied and enjoyed.
Now, I might have to go back at the end of the year to visit their famous christmas market! Who’s with me?
