My favourite books are the Harry Potter series (Thought I’d start with an obvious one).
I don’t really like reading more than one book at once. I can’t get into the story if I try to read two or more stories at the same time.
I wish I had a library just like Belle’s in Beauty and the Beast!
Even though my first language is Portuguese I’d rather read in English. My Portuguese isn’t that great anymore so it takes me AGES to read a single sentence, never mind a whole book!
I fell in love with books after reading the Harry Potter series (which might explain fact number 4, since I read HP in English).
I’ve never really listened to an audiobook (Shocking, right?). It’s not that I don’t like them, the thing is I get easily distracted. I tried once but I ended up cleaning my room while listening to it, and I got distracted looking at old birthday cards and photos, so when I noticed the audiobook was still going (apparently I was on chapter 5 or 6 by then) I had absolutely no idea what was going on in the story, or who the characters were, or anything useful like that…
My dream job would be to own a bookshop/cafe. A bookish cosy place where people can come in and enjoy a “reading break” with a nice cup of coffee (or tea, if you’re weird like that… Alright, I won’t judge. I just really dislike tea! It looks and tastes like dirty water! What’s up with that?).
I wish I could read in the car/bus/train… but unfortunately I get carsick when I do that 😦
I plan on writing a book later this year (My whole life is on hold until I graduate), just like my dad did. You can find his book “Voices from the Walls” on the sidebar there, under “Recommendations” 🙂
I’m going to a book signing with Cassandra Clare in mid-April (I’m sooo excited!) and the ticket to the event includes a copy of Lady Midnight which they give you on the day, so that means I’ve bought Lady Midnight but I haven’t been able to get my hands on it yet… Life is hard like that sometimes.
