Have you ever met one of those people who read a book a week? Those annoyingly productive people who seem to have 100-hour-long days? I don’t know about you, but my days only last 24 hours, AND I spend a good chunk of that time sleeping! So, how do I make more time for books? Ah, now that’s a good question! Continue reading
Right, let’s get straight down to business. Here are my top 5 classic books of all time: Continue reading
Dear reader, today we’re going back in time… Back to when I was a teen!
Back then I wasn’t really into books, as I’ve told you in a previous post. But that changed soon after Continue reading
Since today’s entry is our 5th one I thought it would be a good day to do a list of my top 5 favourite books of all time. Hoooowwwever, Continue reading
So last night was pretty exciting. I got to attend an early screening of High-Rise (out on 18th March here in the UK & Ireland) with a Q&A session with the director Ben Wheatley! Continue reading
Happy belated world book day, dear reader! I know I’m a bit late, but come on, I spent the real “world book day” working on my dissertation. Don’t I get a sympathy vote? Continue reading
Welcome back dear reader! I missed your smiling face!
Today, I think I should tell you a bit about how “Mystery Date with a Book” came to be. Continue reading
Hello dear reader. It is so nice to finally meet you! My name is Fernanda. If you struggle to remember it just think of that ABBA song
“There was something in the air that night. The stars were bright, Fernando…”
Yeah… Some people actually start singing when I introduce myself!
Anyway, where were we? Oh yes!
I’m a soon-to-be psychology graduate (Yay!), who desperately needs a break before going for a master’s degree. I love reading young adult books, even though I may or may not be considered a young adult anymore (Is there an official cut-off age for that?). I hold a special space in my heart for fantasy and dystopian series like The Hunger Games, Divergent, The Mortal Instruments, and everyone’s favourite Harry Potter!
With “Mystery Date with a Book” I get the chance to share my love for books with all you lovely people! But I’m not only interested in books… that would be a bit obsessive of me, wouldn’t it? So, because I’m normal I do enjoy other things as well. Things like dancing, acting, well any kind of performance really (I do enjoy being blinded by spotlights!), travelling, and food (not cooking, just eating). Because this is a book blog I’ll try to focus more on books… but I can’t promise anything.
So, this is it for now.
I hope you come visit me again soon. I do like entertaining guests!
